Woman fatally shot in Laurel, police say
A woman was killed in a shooting early Monday in Laurel, police said.
Laurel police responded to a shooting at approximately 4:56 a.m. in the parking lot of 14120 West Side Blvd. and found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. They later identified her as 42-year-old Tjai “TJ” Farmer of Laurel.
Police said in a statement that Farmer was ambushed by a lone gunman while sitting inside her car in the parking lot of the apartment complex where she lived.
