As we approach the close of the NFL season, it’s time to celebrate a beloved piece of television cinematography: The dramatic stadium establishing shot.

Some skylines are instantly recognizable. MetLife Stadium — home to the New York Jets and Giants — may be in New Jersey, but if the blimp is pointed the right way you can see all of Manhattan behind it. Other cities are a bit more generic.

Because we do not have the express written consent of the NFL, the stadium shots below are not the ones used during actual broadcasts. Still, can you tell what city you’re looking at without an announcer’s help?

In some ways, this quiz was a test of your own geographic knowledge, along the lines of the game GeoGuessr.

[Who are the NFL owners?]

A previous version of this quiz stated that Skyline chili was created by the Skyline Chili restaurant in Cincinnati. The dish, generically known as Cincinnati chili, predates the restaurant. The quiz also controversially stated that the chili contains chocolate. While many recipes – including one found in this paper – call for chocolate, reporting by the Cincinnati Enquirer has confirmed that it is not an official ingredient in the version produced by the Skyline Chili restaurant chain.
